PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has just introduced an update of the Vario 150 model, the All New Vario 160. This stick gets updates on the design side, the engine is also a frame that makes it worth the attention to be relied on daily activities.
But the presence of the All New Honda Vario 160 raises questions. Especially regarding the fate of the old Vario 150 model which also became Honda's best-selling model.

Marketing Director of PT AHM, Thomas Wijaya revealed that with the presence of the Vario 160, the old Vario 150 model has stopped being produced. Thomas hopes the 160 model will soon be obtained by prospective customers who want Vario as the motor of his choice.
"The old Vario 150 is no longer available. We hope to soon offer Vario 160 to prospective customers in various regions," Thomas said at the launch of The All New Vario 160, Wednesday (2/2/2022).
Thomas revealed for the latest model Vario 160 it will continue to try to pursue production. The target is in February mid to late month, this new motorcycle has been delivered to consumer homes.
"Bookings can already start today (after launch). We are working in the middle to end of this month (February)," Thomas said.

Regarding the price, Honda marketed the Vario 160 at an on the road (OTR) price of DKI Jakarta Rp25,800,000,- for the CBS type and Rp28,500,000, - for the ABS type. According to Thomas this price rises slightly with the previous model and is still considered competitive with embedded changes.
"The increase is around Rp1.2 million with the previous model. If you look at the current PCX price at Rp31 million to Rp32 million, Vario 160 is in the midst of filling consumers who want Rp25 million products. If with Vario 125 products, the change is around Rp3 million to Rp5 million with the Vario 150 model. "It's different," Thomas said.
The Vario 150 model was previously offered with an Exclusive option priced at Rp24,565 million, Exclusive Matte Black Rp24,715 million and Sporty at the same price of Rp24,715 million. The previous Vario 150 offers eSP technology with ACG Starter, Idling Stop System, side stand switch, brake lock system, smart key, anser back system and anti thef alarm.
On the latest model Vario 160, the features mentioned above are back. But now the approach comes with a more premium sporty design and implies a large stick.
The use of tubeless tires with a wide tread that is 100/80-14 in front and 120/70-14 at the back with a combination of burnt titanium rims makes it look more sporty. For convenience, there is a USB type A charger on the left storage console. On the right comes also a storage console that is enough to store a drink bottle.

The modern side comes from the use of LED technology for the front and back. Also from the digital meter panel screen that provides information on speedometer, mileage, fuel, Smart Key indicator, digital clock, fuel consumption, battery voltage indicator, oil change, trip meter, ISS indicator and ABS. The luggage is 18 liters which is enough to store a variety of daily driving needs.
All New Honda Vario 160 comes with the application of eSAF frame technology (enhanced Smart Architecture Frame) making this sporty premium scooter more agile and easy to drive. The weight of this frame became 11.7 kilograms from the previous 12.8 kilograms in the Vario 150 model.
All New Honda Vario 160 is marketed with 2 types namely CBS and ABS. For the CBS type there are Active Black, Grande Matte Black, and Grande Matte Red colors. As for the ABS type, there are Active Black, Grande Matte Black, and Grande White colors. Abs type has alloy wheels with burnt titanium color and a touch of Vario emblem that increasingly gives a more premium impression.
