There is a Hybrid Variant for the Latest Honda CR-V

The sixth generation Honda CR-V is coming soon. After the design patent images leaked a few months ago, now the original appearance has been revealed. Everything is open with nothing to hide. This looks like the Chinese version of the CR-V. Can be recognized from the emblem on the trunk.

But there has been no news from Honda directly. If according to previous reports, the possibility of the latest generation sliding between the end of this year or early next year. It could be debuting before the marketing moment. The timing is right, considering that the CR-V RW1 is now old. Entering the age of five years even though it doesn't look boring. In Indonesia, it is still relatively fresh. The facelifted version is only a year old.

There is a Hybrid Variant for the Latest Honda CR-V

The new design is now revealed through two photos. Shows the original form of the patent that was widely circulated last February. No camouflage cover at all like a spy camera catch. There are only pictures from the front and rear frontal angles. But that's enough to judge the changes that have taken place.

The character is more mature than the current model. The sporty impression is slightly lost, replaced by a simple elegant style. The long fixed profile shows a 7-seater SUV (Sport utility Vehicle). In fact, there are still similarities in character with the Honda BR-V. But it does not leave the old design at all.

Highlighting the facade, as if something is odd. A chrome-plated hood adorns the top of the grille, made to extend the wing-style to target the headlamp. Instantly reminds the face of the non-facelifted Hyundai Santa Fe. Then the large grille is made as if it blends with the lights. With a large hollow pattern without chromium accents. At first glance, it looks like the face of the latest Hyundai SUV too. But the grille pattern is more traditional.

Moving to the side, decorated with a straight line design pull from the headlights to the taillights. Looks less original because there is also a resemblance to the Hyundai Santa Fe. The slim and long profile is reminiscent of the BMW X1. Then attention is drawn to the rim. This doesn't seem like the top variant because it's too small and simple in only one color.

Posture is getting stronger and more macho. Broadly speaking, the body groove is also stiff, no longer a lot of body curves. The hood is elongated and squared, as well as the side body lines that are flat without any other strokes. In order to maintain the character of the SUV, the black plastic cladding all around is maintained.

The second photo shows the back. Honda still maintains the shape of the L lights that spread to the pillars. Again, many similarities with other cars. This design is also applied by Suzuki to the Ertiga and XL7. A similar pattern is also used by the Volvo SUV. Even the luminescence pattern of the letter L characterizes the headlights of the New Mazda CX-5. The rest is nothing short of surprising. Closed by two parallelogram-shaped exhaust holes.

The underside of the CR-V badge indicates this is a turbo-engined variant. The 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine seems to be the main hero like the current model. But there are rumors about two hybrid drive options. One of them combines a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor. It may have the same specs as the Accord 2.0L i-MMD Sport Hybrid. It is also possible that there will be a plug-in hybrid variant.

Specifications of the Ducati Desmosedici GP21 Racing Motorcycle

Enea Bastianini won the 2022 French MotoGP series on Sunday (15/4). The racer from the Gresini Racing team was successful on the podium with Jack Miller and Aleix Espargaro.

Until now, the 24-year-old Italian-born rider is entrenched in 3rd position with 94 points. While the first position is Fabio Quartararo with a collection of 102 points and 2nd position Aleix Espargaro with temporary points at 98.

Returning to yesterday's French GP race series, Bastianini showed a positive performance despite having to compete quickly with Ducati's first team racers, Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller. To note, Bastianini uses a motorbike with different specifications from the two Lenovo Ducati riders.

Bastianini was supported on a Ducati Desmosedici GP21, while Miller and Bagnaia rode a Ducati Desmosedici GP22 which in theory would have been superior due to getting more upgrades this season.

So, what are the specifications carried by Bastianini's Ducati Desmosedici GP21 which can smoke the GP22 in the French series yesterday? Check out the full details below.

Specifications of Ducati Desmosedici GP21

In terms of specifications on paper, the Ducati Desmosedici GP21 carries a liquid-cooled 90-degree Desmodromic V4 engine with a DOHC configuration of 4 valves per cylinder. The engine has a cylinder capacity of up to 1,000 cc.

The pacemaker is equipped with an Indirect Electronic Injection atomizer system with 4 throttle bodies at once. The components are operated with a state-of-the-art dual Ride by Wire system.

The Desmosedici GP21 engine is mated to a Ducati Seamless Transmission Chain Final Drive transmission which is capable of producing a maximum power of up to 250 horsepower and more with a top speed of more than 350 km per hour.

To reduce the ferocity of the engine output, the braking system that is carried is also advanced. Where on the front use Brembo dual discs measuring 340 mm made of carbon, each of which has 4 piston calipers. While at the rear use a single braking made of stainless steel with 2 pistons.

As for the legs, in the front bow, Ohlins uses an upside down suspension. While at the rear also uses Ohlins-vendor suspension. Then for the chassis using a twin-spar model with aluminum alloy material. Both wheels of course pack a size of 17 inches wrapped in Michelin tires.

With all the components used in Enea Bastianini's racing motorbike, the total weight of the vehicle is only 157 kilograms. Deliberately comparing, the Desmosedici GP21 turns out to be much lighter than the Honda CBR250RR which has a dry weight (without oil and gasoline) at 168 kilograms.

Federal Oil Praises Enea Bastianini Wins at French GP

For the third time, Enea Bastianini, the Federal Oil Gresini Racing driver, has made Indonesia proud again. This time he managed to carve a stunning achievement in the French MotoGP, Sunday (15/5). Starting from fifth position, this Italian rider appeared tactical and raced to lead the race to the finish. But the struggle to reach the first podium is not easy. He received a fairly tight resistance from the Lenovo Ducati team racer.

Federal Oil Praises Enea Bastianini Wins at French GP

This is the third win for Enea Bastianini. Previously he had climbed the top podium in MotoGP Qatar and America. At the de la Sarthe circuit, aka the Le Mans circuit, he devoured 27 laps with a time of 41 minutes 34.613 seconds.

"I'm happy with the results of this race, because the start of the race week was very confusing and I even crashed a few times. But in the race everything went smoothly, seeing that all the riders were so close and had to be patient behind," said Bastianini.

"Once there was an opportunity, I used it to overtake. Finally being able to win this race, an award for the team that has worked hard because it has prepared the best bike," added the rider who uses number 23 on the Ducati Desmosedici GP21 motorbike.

While his teammate, Fabio Di Giannantonio, who finished in 13th position was his best result in the inaugural season in the 2022 MotoGP class. The racer who is familiarly called Diggia pocketed his first 3 points.

"Finally, I got a real race. We fought from start to finish and now we start fighting in MotoGP. It's a shame for a small problem in my right arm, which prevented me from having full strength in the joint for the whole race. But we did well. : overtaking a lot of riders, so I come back to Italy in a happy mood,” Diggia believes.

The victory won by Enea Bastianini received positive attention from Sri Adinegara, Market Development Director of PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia (PT EMLI). "An extraordinary race result for Enea Bastianini who was able to win for the third time and Fabio Di Giannantonio won the first points in the inaugural MotoGP 2022 season. This achievement certainly makes Indonesia proud, where Federal Oil also supports the Gresini Racing MotoGP team," he said.

Ri Adinegara emphasized that this victory also reduced Enea's points in the race for the 2022 MotoGP World Champion. "Hopefully, in the next series at the Mugello circuit, the two drivers can show their potential to make Indonesia proud again," he added.

In the provisional standings of the 2022 MotoGP World Champion, Enea Bastianini is in third position with 94 points, 8 points adrift of the top title holder, Fabio Quartararo who has 102 points. While Diggia is in position 22 has 3 points.

“Hopefully this achievement can have a positive impact on Federal Oil, not only nationally, but of course participate in making Indonesia proud in the eyes of the world. This is also in line with the introduction of the new Generation Federal Oil product last March. We attach the message #pastibikinbanggaIndonesia because it presents product packaging with batik ornaments, and is an Indonesian brand that has been active for a decade in the international MotoGP race with the Gresini Racing team," concluded Sri Adinegara.

Honda Develops New NX Series, There are 200 cc and 500 cc versions

Honda recently filed for the NX and NX500 trademarks in the European Union. A day later the nomenclature was registered on another trademark application in New Zealand. This suggests that the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer is developing a new metal horse. It is likely that the units offered will be identical to the NX Dominator series. Units that have been sold from the 80s to the beginning of the new millennium.

Honda Develops New NX Series, There are 200 cc and 500 cc versions

Manufacturers with the 'flap wing' logo have long been known to take a different approach when it comes to mid-range motorcycles. Unlike its counterparts, Big Red has always gone its own way in the 400 to 800 cc segment. It always has products that are technically unmatched in their respective categories. For example, the range of beginner-friendly models based on the CB500 platform, as well as for the 650 cc to 700cc class, it offers the CB650R naked bike and CBR650R sportbike.

The Honda NX was a popular dual-sport model produced from 1988 to 2002. It was offered in several engine capacities. And ends with the NX650 Dominator whose production stopped at the start of the new millennium. This iron horse adopts a lighter engine and is more versatile.

Because the enthusiasm of the tualang bike in all capacity classes continues to increase, his party wants to revive a product that was once famous. With a particular focus on machines inspired by the popularity of the Dakar Rally in the late 80's. It made sense for Honda to dig into that legacy. Moreover, Honda exhibited the trend of revival of old model names such as Hawk and Transalp. Both are built on existing platforms. With that, we can hope that NX also gets the same treatment.

While the previous NX models were widely known for the Dominator branding they wore. But it may not be the right choice for Honda. Because Norton already holds the trademark rights to the Dominator badge in most of the world. While the Dominator trademark was last registered with Honda, it was removed in 2019 because it was no longer used. As a result, the two-wheeled Japanese manufacturer will use the name 'NX'.

The iron horse from Honda that bears the NX name, including the old NX500 uses a single cylinder engine. However, it looks like the new NX500 will carry a parallel twin engine. The Japanese manufacturer is likely to use a liquid-cooled 471cc twin mechanical heart from the CB500 range as the base for the bike. It can produce a peak power of 47 hp at 8,500 rpm and a peak torque of 43.2 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

Indeed, the simplest way to create a retro-style dual sport in that capacity class is to reassemble the CB500X. It's just a matter of adapting the '80s-inspired plastic body, and aligning it more closely with the Africa Twin.

Honda's chances of taking that route were apparently backed by the fact that the company filed to trademark the name "NX400" in Singapore. It is a CB500X unit which is offered in 399cc form. Also sold in some Asian markets. Last year, it also filed for rights to the names "NX200" in India and "NX150" in Indonesia, indicating that smaller motorcycles with a similar appearance are being prepared for these markets. Again, that mirrors what Honda did in the past, as the old Dominator was offered in capacities ranging from 125cc to 650cc during its heyday.

The latest news, renders of the smaller NX has emerged. Information circulating will be the NX 200. This unit is expected to use hardware from the CB200X which has been marketed in India. The model is oriented off-road, such as the use of hand guards, exhaust under the tail, and bash plates. While the tires are only temporary.

Since they both use a similar architecture and style, the possibilities for extrapolating to NX are enormous. Therefore, it can be concluded that from the design renders the NX 200 will be given to the NX 500. But so far everything about the future of the NX is still pure speculation. We just have to patiently wait and see what Honda does in the future.

Qatar Losail Circuit Not Opening MotoGP 2023, Replaced by Mandalika?

The Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar is no longer hosting the 2023 MotoGP season opener. This is because the track is undergoing major renovations and redesigns. Dorna Sports said that the Qatar GP might be held towards the end of the 2023 season. So, who has the chance to replace the schedule, is it Mandalika?

As we know, Qatar made its debut in the MotoGP World Championship starting in 2004. It has held the role of season opener since 2007, with the exception of 2020 when Covid-19 forced the postponement of the start of the season. And since 2008, this circuit is the only one to hold races under floodlights or at night.

Apart from being a MotoGP venue, the Losail International Circuit has been appointed to host the World Superbike (WSBK). In fact, holding a Formula 1 race, to fill the vacant slot in the 2021 calendar. The Qatari government has also officially signed a 10-year contract as the location for a land jet race, starting from 2023 to 2032.

Qatar Losail Circuit Not Opening MotoGP 2023, Replaced by Mandalika?

In order to streamline the two prestigious events of MotoGP and Formula 1, the manager of Losail has indeed planned to overhaul the circuit so that the Qatar Grand Prix can run smoothly next season.

The plan is for the Losail Circuit renovation to be carried out this year. This major overhaul is not only the track, but also the redesign of the paddock area. Other supporting facilities are also not spared from the renewal. Including, the construction of a new area for the audience. Everything is done by the manager in order to create a new and more interesting atmosphere.

Despite its rejuvenation status, the 5.4 km long circuit has extended its commitment to enliven MotoGP until 2031.

“Losail International Circuit will undergo a major renovation and remodeling of the paddock area and circuit facilities for 2023. Instead, the race at Losail has been moved to the end of the season. The renovation project has started running from this year. We'll see areas rebuilt to create a better experience for all. Including visitors, racers to competing teams. All the work done will make Losail a circuit with racing facilities with the best equipment in the world," reads a MotoGP statement.

Because it has undergone a complete overhaul, it is very likely that the renovations carried out will not be completed in early 2023. Therefore, the Losail circuit cannot open MotoGP next season. Until now, the organizers still have not announced a calendar for next season.

Mandalika to Host the Opening Round of MotoGP 2023?

Until now, Dorna Sport is still looking for an alternative to find the MotoGP 2023 opening circuit with several logical options. There are two options that should be taken into account by the organizers. The first could be Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. Despite his position on the threshold of the rainy season, he can be an alternative for the whole team. Because it can save costs by combining pre-season testing after from Sepang, Malaysia.

Another option is to fall to Australia. It can be moved from the traditional October slot to March. It's a move that is likely to be welcomed, as the current schedule often sees racing hampered by windy conditions.

Bastianini's Key to Success Can Bring a Competitive Gresini Racing Satellite Team in MotoGP

Enea Bastianini proved that the satellite team could be competitive and compete with the factory teams in the elite MotoGP championship. In the French GP series last weekend, he came out as champion after a quick race with Lenovo Ducati racers, Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller.

This result made Bagnaia's 3rd victory after previously being on the 1st podium in the Qatar series opener and the United States 2022 series. As a result, the racer from Gresini Racing Team is entrenched in 3rd position in the standings with 94 points.

Bastianini's Key to Success Can Bring a Competitive Gresini Racing Satellite Team in MotoGP

Bastianini's opportunity to become world champion is also wide open, especially now that there are only 7 MotoGP series and 14 more series remaining until 6 November 2022. The closing series of MotoGP itself will be held at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Spain.

Bastianini explained that competing in world championships requires very thorough preparation in each race period. Not making mistakes in practice, qualifying and racing is the key to winning the world title.

He also said that the victory at the French GP is proof that the satellite team can compete closely with the main factory teams. Bastianini will work hard for the next race series at the Mugello Circuit, Italy and is optimistic about targeting another victory.

"This victory was not easy and this is the result of the hard work of an extraordinary mechanical team whose results we proved together at the Le Mans circuit. Predicting the right moment to "attack" gave Gresini Racing Team a third victory. The Satellite Team also showed a great performance in the match at Le Mans," said the 24-year-old racer.

Antangin Local Sponsor Support

Gresini Racing Team's 3rd victory could not be separated from the role and support of sponsors. One of them is Antangin, which is claimed to improve health and stamina in the preparation and racing period during the 2022 MotoGP event.

Chief Executive Officer of PT Deltomed Laboratories (Antangin), Muljo Rahardjo expressed his happiness to be able to support Gresini Racing to compete at the highest level of MotoGP. He hopes Bastianini can return to show his best performance in other series.

"Congratulations to the Gresini Racing Team and Enea Bastianini who are back on the podium as MotoGP 2022 champions in France. We are very proud of the achievements of the Gresini Racing Team and Enea Bastianini in MotoGP this season. Seeing Antangin with Bastianini on the victory podium is certainly very proud of Indonesia. Hopefully This achievement can continue until the end of the season," he concluded.
