There is a Hybrid Variant for the Latest Honda CR-V

The sixth generation Honda CR-V is coming soon. After the design patent images leaked a few months ago, now the original appearance has been revealed. Everything is open with nothing to hide. This looks like the Chinese version of the CR-V. Can be recognized from the emblem on the trunk.

But there has been no news from Honda directly. If according to previous reports, the possibility of the latest generation sliding between the end of this year or early next year. It could be debuting before the marketing moment. The timing is right, considering that the CR-V RW1 is now old. Entering the age of five years even though it doesn't look boring. In Indonesia, it is still relatively fresh. The facelifted version is only a year old.

The new design is now revealed through two photos. Shows the original form of the patent that was widely circulated last February. No camouflage cover at all like a spy camera catch. There are only pictures from the front and rear frontal angles. But that's enough to judge the changes that have taken place.

The character is more mature than the current model. The sporty impression is slightly lost, replaced by a simple elegant style. The long fixed profile shows a 7-seater SUV (Sport utility Vehicle). In fact, there are still similarities in character with the Honda BR-V. But it does not leave the old design at all.

Highlighting the facade, as if something is odd. A chrome-plated hood adorns the top of the grille, made to extend the wing-style to target the headlamp. Instantly reminds the face of the non-facelifted Hyundai Santa Fe. Then the large grille is made as if it blends with the lights. With a large hollow pattern without chromium accents. At first glance, it looks like the face of the latest Hyundai SUV too. But the grille pattern is more traditional.

Moving to the side, decorated with a straight line design pull from the headlights to the taillights. Looks less original because there is also a resemblance to the Hyundai Santa Fe. The slim and long profile is reminiscent of the BMW X1. Then attention is drawn to the rim. This doesn't seem like the top variant because it's too small and simple in only one color.

Posture is getting stronger and more macho. Broadly speaking, the body groove is also stiff, no longer a lot of body curves. The hood is elongated and squared, as well as the side body lines that are flat without any other strokes. In order to maintain the character of the SUV, the black plastic cladding all around is maintained.

The second photo shows the back. Honda still maintains the shape of the L lights that spread to the pillars. Again, many similarities with other cars. This design is also applied by Suzuki to the Ertiga and XL7. A similar pattern is also used by the Volvo SUV. Even the luminescence pattern of the letter L characterizes the headlights of the New Mazda CX-5. The rest is nothing short of surprising. Closed by two parallelogram-shaped exhaust holes.

The underside of the CR-V badge indicates this is a turbo-engined variant. The 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine seems to be the main hero like the current model. But there are rumors about two hybrid drive options. One of them combines a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor. It may have the same specs as the Accord 2.0L i-MMD Sport Hybrid. It is also possible that there will be a plug-in hybrid variant.
