Toyota Introduces Noah and Voxy, Looks More Fierce

 Along with the arrival of Fortuner and Land Cruiser updates in Indonesia, Toyota Motor Corporation on Thursday (13/1/2022) introduced the latest models from Noah and Voxy for the Japanese market. Both high-roof MPV looks fresh with various changes on the exterior and interior.

The model, which first appeared in November 2001, has now entered the fourth generation and uses the TNGA (GA-C) platform. This makes both offer the thrill of driving a more comfortable minivan with more carrying capabilities. The platform offers a more rigid body but is also lightweight and balanced for road stability.

Regarding design, Noah was made with a more magnificent, modern and luxurious concept even with a mainstream and aggressive design line. Voxy models come with a unique and up-to-date design.

Toyota also provides wheelcab models for easier disability needs. The design of this variant is refined and adapted to the needs of disabled vehicles.

Noah's exterior design comes simpler with attention to details that show quality. The look is modern thanks to the use of tapered headlamp design, grille with thick lines that have the same color as the body.

Voxy comes with a front design showing a three-dimensional front structure. Its appearance at night is also interesting with the headlights and back of the character that glows at night.

Noah and Voxy offer roomy space in the cabin. The distance between the left and right C pillars is now 1,295 mm wider than the previous model. Comes with a height of 1,405 mm, creating a sense of airy in the room. The cabin offers a capacity of 104 loters which also offers additional space at the bottom so that it is able to carry goods with large dimensions.

The dashboard puts forward a horizontal design that helps the spacious viewing angle of cabin space. Its panel instruments pursue functionality and beauty directly. Predominantly dark colors make the interior both more exclusive and spacious.

This MPV still offers seven seats with a captain seat model in the second row. Comfort comes with seating that can be reclined ottoman style, seat warmers, and folding tables. This chair can move as far as 745 mm for comfort settings.

There is another eight-passenger model that comes with a bench for three passengers with 60/40 split up capability. This second row seat can move as far as 705 mm for passenger comfort on the road.

The latest Noah and Voxy come with a power sliding door that provides footrests for passengers. This footing comes out and folds at the bottom of the door and has a distance from the ground as far as 200 mm and can be utilized for all family members. This door is equipped with a hands-free feature where the door can open and close automatically just by moving the foot near the sensor located at the bottom of the front door. This is for convenience when both hands are full holding groceries or holding the child.

Both models are also equipped with Toyota Safety Sense features. This feature consists of pre-collision safety system, proactive driving assist, lane change assist, and front cross-traffic alert. There is still a Safe Exit Assist feature, Toyota Teammate consisting of advance drive and advance park. Toyota also includes software that connects the vehicle to the driver's mobile phone app or T-intouch.

Regarding driving, Toyota presents Voxy and Noah with hybrid parallel series technology. DoHC's 2ZR-FXW four-cylinder in-line 1.8L in-line engine is claimed to produce a record efficiency of 23.4 km per liter. There is still a choice of 2.0L Dynamic Force Engine engine and paired Direct Shift-CVT and 4WD drive.

In Japan these two MPVs are also in demand. Noah sold 8,100 units per month and Voxy 5,400. Both models will be produced at fujimatsu and motomachi factories. The estimated price starts from Rp336 million to Rp489 million. Noah and Voxy hybrid models will be available at the end of January 2022.
