Team Suzuki Ecstar has just released the Suzuki GSX-RR motorbike which they will run in the 2022 MotoGP season, Friday (4/2/2022) this afternoon Indonesian time.
Several updates appear to have been made and are said to be in progress until the season begins. How does the new motor look? This is the full photo.
The blue and silver colors from the previous season still dominate Suzuki's two iron horses. There is no difference from the color scheme, it's just that the black part is now made more striking. The color that was previously only the backdrop for the Monster energy drink brand, is now also inscribed on the fascia under the racer's numbers.

This more frightening appearance of course is only a bandage of the improvements and changes that have been attempted in the technical section. All of this is claimed to make Suzuki Ecstar rider Joan Mir more confident in welcoming the new season.
"Pre-season training went well and I feel very fit and ready for the 2022 season. I can't wait to get back on the bike, I also like the test results at the end of last year which showed some improvement in performance. It's time to show a new livery and try a few laps. before the season starts," explained the 2020 season World Champion in his live broadcast.
In line with Mir, his teammate, Alex Rins, who rides motorcycle number 42, also appreciates this latest development. "The new Suzuki GSX-RR looks really amazing and also has a good performance! I can't wait for the season to start, I did a lot of practice during the break last season and also practiced on the GSX-R1000R motorbike which is certainly not worth trying a racing bike. we're on the circuit. It's also nice to be reunited with the team, we have the same goals and focus, and everyone shows readiness to achieve great results this season, "explained Rins on the same occasion
The 2021 MotoGP season is not the worst moment for Suzuki, but it is also not the best. Because the 2020 season, they managed to become champions but only finished in third place the following season. Shinichi Sahara, Project Leader and Team Director of the Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP Team said that every effort had been made during last season's break. He admits everything is showing positive results and will not stop until the season starts.
"Last season's break we worked very hard for both the European and Japanese teams. Everyone is putting in every effort to prepare the bike to be more competitive. We believe in the bike and our two riders, and are ready to start!" close the Sahara.
The 2020 season in which Suzuki became the champion was indeed a unique and memorable moment. 2020 is proof of 100 years for the Suzuki brand and 60 years for them to take part in the racing arena. In a year threatened by COVID-19, the Suzuki team was able to maintain its focus even though it did not finish (DNF). Mir managed to catch up and collect his best points to win the championship crown, the culmination of 20 years of Suzuki MotoGP's efforts.
The 2022 MotoGP season starts in March in Qatar. Indonesia also became one of the hosts in the second round in the same month. If nothing goes wrong, 21 rounds will be held around the world. Can Suzuki bring back the power of 2020, let's wait!
